Worst Monitor

Katie
Worst monitor ever! First of all, it only comes with one cord to plug into an outlet so either the handheld piece or the base must constantly be plugged in. That would be fine if the batteries didn't die EVERY 2 days! And now, the handheld piece no longer accepts the plug to be able to charge it. The monitor is only 5 months old.

Don't waste your money

I attempted this monitor thinking it would cover the 2000ft range. Hardly! We were visiting my inlaws and took the monitor and it barely covered across their house which is only 1800sq ft. The unit kept cutting in and out. Took it back and don't recommend you wasting your time.

I registered for this product and got it at my baby shower. I love it. The only thing I can complain about is the battery. I left the parent unit on and ran the battery all the way down and now it wont take a charge. So I will have to order a new one. It is really easy to order replacement parts. It is under the help center tab on the home page. You have to enter the model number and serial number which is located on the owners manuel. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a baby monitor.

So i have had the monitor for 11 months now and love how loud it is but hate that it squeals if i get them to close. But my problem is that the cord for the reciever got messed up some how and now i need another cord. i cant find out how to order a new one and really dont want to get a whole new monitor.

Worst baby monitor ever!

I have only used this for 6 1/2 months now. One completly stopped working, and the other doesn't hold a charge for more than 2 1/2 hours. It is not worth the money. I used to have a cheaper Graco model monitor w/ my 1st child, and that one was just as bad. I figured after 5 years, they would have created a better product. Guess not. Don't wast your money!

Love it!

I have had this monitor for about a year and a half and I have loved it! I dropped it down a flight of steps where it landed on tile floor and it still works like a charm (on more than one occasion...). The battery life is not great, but I am a stay at home mom and don't mind having it plugged in most of the time. The range on it is excellent, and if there is ever a problem with static, I just change the channel to find one that is just right. Excellent purchase! Has held up very well.

Exaggerated range

These monitors work exactly as described for us. The batteries last all day before we place them on the charger bases at night. The vibe unit can be turned up to the point that it can get my attention even over the sound of small power tools. The only issue is the exaggerated range. I have yet to get these to work beyond about 100 feet. At 2,000 feet I should be able to walk to my neighbors and still hear what is going on in our son's room. I can barely make it to the mail box or to the far end of the yard on the other side without it breaking up and lots of static. Other than the exaggerated range, I highly recommend these units. Just don't expect to travel a block over and them still work.

Good & Bad...

I have been using this monitor for 16 months since my daughter was born. Overall, it is a great monitor. It picks up sounds incredibly and is so clear and loud, and I get little feedback and interruptions. My complaint, like everyone else is the battery life. ...Without being on the base, the parent monitor must be plugged in, which is inconvenient when you're trying to do housework or yardwork. My house isnt too big so I won't be searching for a new monitor, but the battery life IS a big problem, and I hope Graco is taking steps to fix this because otherwise this is a wonderful monitor.

Did Not Meet Expectations

Being Graco fans, we expected this to be a great product. There is constant interference with the monitor and household items. The battery was running low one afternoon so I operated the unit from the charger. When turned on, the monitor will now only last for around an hour off the base. Very frustrating to have to keep carrying around the base unit as well as the monitor.

i really love this monitor. i resently thought it was broken (of corse it wasnt) so i went i bought a different brand monitor (safty first glow and go monitors) and it wasnt as loud as the graco monitor. i didnt even hear my son crying and it was all the way turned up. needless to say i had decided to take that monitor back and i cant go with out on so i fixed my graco monitor. I found out that all that was wrong with it was that the parent monitor and the nursry monitor were no longer paired up so i repaired them and they work great. so i will defintly only get graco monitors if these brake for good.

this monitor was great at first in our small apartment but after awhile the battery wasnt holding a charge. the range wasnt the greatest once we got our house. its ok for our 1600sqft house but once we get outside it looses signal. after almost two yrs it looses signal quite a bit. on a positive note it has great pick up. i have the sensor under her bed and i can hear when shes just rolling around.

Good at first

This was a shower gift from our Registry, which we asked for after doing some research. At first, the unit worked wonderfully if the parent units were kept within the house or within 80 feet of the house when outdoors. The batteries in the parent units unfortunately wore down quickly to the point of only holding a charge for about 15 minutes; about 4 months on one and 5 months on the other. After about 10 months, the signal was becoming poor and contained static, regardless of what channel used, and eventually it was no longer providing a signal to the parent units beyond 30 feet from the Nursery Unit.
That said, replacing the unit batteries on both Parent units and the Nursery unit resolved the problems. The Parent Unit batteries can be found online for around $9 each and are easy to replace. I realized the AAA batteries in the Nursery unit were too low only by re-reading the manual and checking the indicator light. I would have given this unit a higher rating if not for the rapid decline in battery life and the need for the AAA batteries to maintain a strong signal from a unit that is already plugged into an outlet.

We're really happy we chose the imonitor Vibe. We really can hear our baby even as she's stirring from sleep or even when she's struggling to roll over. I love the convenience of the portability of the parent units, so I can just clip it onto my pocket when I'm walking around doing laundry or other things around the house.

Waste of Money

This product is a disgrace to the Graco Name. I have only been using it a week and the batery has already gone bad in one so it has to be on the charger at all times, and the other one is constantly disconnecting from the base. Both monitors make a clicking sound all the time like they are being removed and replaced on the charger and this gets very annoying when trying to sleep. Over all the monitor is not worth the money and adds no security that you will hear your baby when they cry. I am extremely dissapointed and would return it if i could but i recieved it as a baby shower gift months ago and don't have a reciept so i will have to purchase a new monitor without being able to return a this one.

Poor Reception

We picked out this monitor after alot of research and we are so disappointed. It is constantly loosing the signal...even just 1 bedroom apart, it will not work out in the garage or even outside. Save your money, I kept a monitor from my first child (7 years ago) and it works so much better than this.

This is a great monitor system except about 3 months after we got it one of the parent units stopped working unless it's on the charger. Now the second one only lasts about an hour before it has to be charged. That's my only complaint with it as I never have any interference with it and can hear my son very clearly. The battery life seems to be an issue and I'm not sure if they can be replaced.

Wonderful monitors

I purchased this monitor when I was pregnant with my second child, I had done my research and read the reviews on several styles of monitors. I have loved this set from day one. No interference, great sound, picks up every little noise from the nursery & magnifies it, offers the vibration as well as sound, and it comes with two monitors so that you can have them in a couple locations and you don't have to carry it with you because it's loud enough. My house is 2400 sqft. I have one monitor in my bedroom downstairs & 1 monitor upstairs in the den area and unless I am going outside or in a bathroom to take shower I do not have to take the monitor off the base. I would recommend to friends and family, my daughter is 5 months old & they are still going strong.
