Practical Mom Loves It

My daughter is 2 1/2, and we've had this crib since she was 3 months old. Easy to put together (as far as cribs go) and haven't had any problems with it, aside from a few minor dents and scratches on the front. That can be prevented with a crib railing guard, we just didn't get one.

We have had the crib for 2 years now, but since my little guy could start to roll around the springs squeaked to high heaven! I cannot wait to get him into a toddler bed so we don't have to hear him rolling in his crib every night....Also along the side of the front there is a yellowish color that has shown threw the white since we bought it. and No guardrails!

Love the Charleston

As a first time parent I read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research. We decided on the Graco Charleston Crib because of other great reviews and the price. My husband put it together in a very short amount of time, the directions were very easy to follow. The color and look of the crib are fantastic - it looks much more expensive than it was. And we absolutely love the fact that it converts to a toddler bed, then onto a full size bed. I would recommend this crib to anyone.

Satisfied BUT no guardrail

It has held up well and is attractive. However, like the other reviewer, I wish I realized there was no guardrail to this bed before I purchased it. We are ready to convert it for our toddler and I don't feel comfortable with her in there without a guardrail. I guess that may be one reason why this crib is so much more affordable than others. I guess I will buy a mesh guardrail. Too bad.

Great as a crib

I love this bed as a crib. It has a beautiful dark finish and has stood up well to our rambunctious bundle of joy. When I bought it as a first time mom to be I thought we were doing the right thing by getting a convertible bed. Now our daughter is 2 and I wish we had chosen differently. We are thinking about converting it to a toddler bed and none of the graco cribs need (or even offer) a guard rail. Great right, not so much. Our daughter rolls all around her bed and I know she will fall out if we leave the entire front open. Now I'm stuck buying an ugly mesh add on in order to keep her from falling out and hurting herself. Plus, you can't just walk into your favorite big box store and buy sheets for a crib mattress.

Finish does not match Portland dresser

I bought the charleston crib and the Portland dresser both in classic cherry. The crib was a dark cherry (almost espresso) and the dresser was a brighter red. The finishes are the same name but the colors were drastically different. Now I don't know what dresser will match the crib we already put together. We love the crib but we are frustrated to start over looking for a matching set. Other sites/blogs said the two matched but mine did not!
